FAQs

Is there a comprehensive document listing all the rules and conditions associated with buying a property at Inchmarlo and subsequently living there?

The Minute of Agreement is a contractual document which contains the terms and conditions associated with living at Inchmarlo.  There is also a document entitled 'Information for Home Owners' which provides a wealth of information about living at Inchmarlo, including details and costs of services not included within the Service Charge.

Do I need to appoint a Scottish solicitor
?

It is recommended that you employ a Scottish solicitor when buying a house at Inchmarlo.  The potential purchase only becomes binding when the 'missives' (the legal term for a house purchase contract) are signed.  However, the contract is completed and legal title is transferred when the money is received at a future date specified in the missives.  You would not, therefore, be legally committed when making a reservation.

What options do I have to change the standard design when buying a new house?

Overall detailed specifications are proposed for each house style.  For the kitchen and bathrooms, there is a range of unit and colour options for you to choose, subject to availability.

Can I bring my pet to Inchmarlo?

Home Owners may bring existing pets to Inchmarlo by obtaining prior written consent from the General Manager. The home to be purchased should be suitable and you should be able to look after your pet quite independently.
